Situated on the south-east edge of Guwahati along the foothills of the Meghalaya border, this serene ashram was established where Sage Vashistha meditated in the Vedic era. Built in 1764 by Ahom King Rajeswar Singha, the temple stands at the confluence of three rivulets: Sandhya, Lalita, and Kanta.
