Chandragiri Fort & Raja Mahal

Built in the 11th century by Yadava Rayas and later the fourth capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. The Raja Mahal palace was built entirely of stone, brick, and lime mortar without any wood. It was from here in 1639 that the deed granting Madras to the British East India Company was signed.
