An isolated 20.9 sq km semi-evergreen forest sanctuary in Jorhat, surrounded by tea gardens. It is the only protected reserve in India dedicated to India's only ape species, the Western Hoolock Gibbon. The dense evergreen canopy is also home to six other primate species, including the stump-tailed macaque, capped langur, and slow loris.
