Constructed by Ahom King Pramatta Singha in 1744-1750, Rang Ghar is a two-storeyed royal pavilion where Ahom royalty watched traditional bullfights, wrestling matches, and Bihu festivities. The roof is shaped like an inverted royal Ahom longboat (Ahom Charaingao) constructed using unique organic indigenous mortar made from sticky rice, eggs, and pulses.
