Built in 1656 by Yaqut of Dabul as the mausoleum of Mohammed Adil Shah, Gol Gumbaz features a gargantuan circular dome with an external diameter of 144 feet, supported solely by interlocking pendentives. Running inside the dome is the famous Whispering Gallery, where even the softest footstep or whisper echoes distinctly eleven times across 40 metres.

Located 3 km east of Bidar at Ashtur, this royal necropolis contains 12 grand domed tombs of Bahmani rulers. The tomb of Ahmad Shah Al-Wali features exquisite gilded calligraphy and Quranic inscriptions painted in blue and gold on interior dome surfaces, while the partially collapsed tomb of Humayun Shah reveals thick medieval brickwork.

Pilgrims bathe in the sacred Amrit Kund tank and partake in community langar.
