Historic Cantonment Church Tower (1806)
Civil Lines, Karnal, Haryana 132001
Standing 35 meters tall with a classical ornamental belfry, the Cantonment Church Tower is the surviving centerpiece of St. James Church consecrated in 1806. When the British garrison shifted to Ambala following a malaria epidemic in 1841, the main church building was dismantled but this stately Gothic bell tower was preserved as a navigational landmark.
