Hindola Mahal (Swinging Palace)
📍 Royal Enclave, Mandu, Dhar District, Madhya Pradesh 454010
Hindola Mahal ('Swinging Palace') served as the royal audience hall of the Malwa Sultans. It owes its name to the massive, steeply sloping outer buttress walls leaning at a 77-degree angle, which create a dramatic optical illusion of a swaying structure. Inside, five colossal pointed arches span the main hall under a towering vaulted stone timber-styled roof.
