📍 Mathura Road, Nizamuddin East, New Delhi 110013
Commissioned in 1565 CE by Empress Bega Begum and designed by Persian master architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, Humayun's Tomb was the first garden tomb on the Indian subcontinent. Set in the center of an immense 30-acre Persian Charbagh (quadripartite garden) with running water channels, its high double-domed marble silhouette and red-sandstone arched pavilions set the golden standard for Mughal imperial design.
